If you’re involved in any retail consignment programs, you’ll need to call the stores and let them know that your title(s) are now available through Artist1Stop (For example: stores can order from AEC, Baker & Taylor and Super Discount’s databanks). The Artist1Stop program should eliminate the need for consigning because the stores can now order your product through their regular order fulfillment center.

As part of the setup, your title will be submitted to our accounts with Artist1Stop as the label name (Note: This does not mean that we are your label. This is the only way that large online companies and store buyers will be able to find smaller independent labels/artist’s CD’s in our database and only means that you are distributed by the Artist1Stop program).

If you currently have an Amazon Advantage account and sign up for Artist1Stop, please be aware that the data we send will override what is currently there. The Street Date and label name will change accordingly. Alliance Entertainment will now fill any orders placed at amazon.com with the inventory stock that we hold at our warehouse. At this time we’ve no way to “skip” amazon.com setups, so you’ll need to cancel your Advantage account or it will be overridden by the Artist1Stop setup process.

If you are a CDBaby client it means your title has most likely been provided to towerrecords.com via CDBaby’s set-up process. In our set-up process, Artist1Stop sets your title up with towerrecords.com as well (so there may be two ways that towerrecords.com buyers can order your CD: the CDBaby account or the Artist1stop account). To reduce any confusion please note that you may have two distributors listed that consumers can order your title from on the towerrecords.com site.

Make sure the genre of your music is clear on your “Artist New Release Form.” If you have more than one genre of music listed on the “Artist New Release Form” we’ll do our best to set your CD up with the first music genre listed on your form (Tip: check out some of the sites like bestbuy.com, towerrecords.com etc and search similar music to yours and see what genres are listed if you are unsure of what to categorize your music). We set your CD up with Loud Eye Technologies, Muse and All Music Guide (content providers). These content providers have specific genres and may not always have the specific genre you requested so make sure your genre is a valid category. Also, if a website sets your CD genre up wrong it may take a while to correct as we can only contact the three content providers we set your product up with to make sure they have the right information. If an individual site still has your info wrong, its up to that particular site to mirror the changes that we made to a content provider and update corrections on their own individual site.
